PM Nguyen Tan Dung will attend the third Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague, the Netherlands from March 24-25 at the invitation of his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte.
PM Nguyen Tan Dung is expected to deliver a speech at the 3rd Nuclear Security Summit

He is expected to deliver a speech at the summit to affirm the country’s consistent policy on using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, ensuring nuclear safety and security, as well as measures which Viet Nam has taken in the summit’s framework to contribute to the concerted efforts of the international community.

The summit comes as countries are gradually attaching importance to the role of multilateral mechanisms in planning and coordinating international activities to respond to global challenges, including terrorism and the proliferation of mass destruction and nuclear weapon.

On the sidelines of the event, PM Dung is scheduled to meetleaders of some countries. The Government leader attended the first summit in April 2010 in the US and the second in March 2012 in the Republic of Korea.
