Open letter: PM Phuc salutes VIR’s commitment to its “fine tradition”

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Investment Review Group (September 27, 1991-September 27, 2016), and receiving the First-Grade Labour Medal presented by the Party and the State, I would like to extend my greetings and warmest congratulations to all VIR’s generations of staff, reporters, editors, and contributors.

Over the past 25 years of construction and development, VIR has paired well with the country’s Doi Moi reform progress, encouraging development and international integration, while always disseminating timely information on policies and laws of the Party and the State. VIR has also done a very good job in highlighting the country’s important economic-political events and bilateral and multilateral co-operation activities, making positive contributions to promoting Vietnam’s image to international friends and investors.

The business and investment forums organised by VIR annually have contributed to the construction of a more transparent and friendly business environment, which has helped inspire enterprises’ business and start-up spirit, and created a bridge to connect state management agencies with investors and enterprises.

In the context that our country is embarking on a new stage of development, with many new opportunities and challenges, VIR needs to enhance its fine tradition by continuing renovation and strong development, while always staying true to its operational principles and purposes. Together with the press throughout the country, VIR also needs to constantly improve its knowledge and expertise, in order to successfully accomplish the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, contributing to the creation of a strong driving force for enterprises to develop, and the construction of Vietnam into a powerful nation with affluent people, democracy, fairness, and civilisation.
