Honorary Consul Ahouvi promoting ties with Israel

Igal Ahouvi, the Israeli billionaire and Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Israel, had a recent meeting with a business delegation led by Vuong Dinh Hue, head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission.

The meeting between the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Israel and the Economic Commission is considered a landmark event in strengthening the bilateral relations of Vietnam and Israel in general and the promotion of economic ties between the two countries, particularly in the area of cross-city investment between Tel Aviv and Hanoi.

The Vietnamese-Israeli ties are dynamically improving.In 2014 the total trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $1 billion and the first quarter of 2015 has seen an increase of more than 80 per cent compared to the same period of 2014. Within this context of the rapid trade growth Hue said that the two economies were highly complementary with great potential for cooperation, especially in the fields of science and technology, agriculture, trade and investment.

Igal Ahouvi is a famous real estate investor in Europe boasting the total transaction value of over $10 billion so far.

In February 2014, Ahouvi was officially appointed as the Honorary Consul of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Israel.

In Vietnam, Igal Ahouvi is the primary investor behind the ALMA project in Nha Trang. Launched in October 2013, the ALMA project is built on a stretch of 30 hectares in Long Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Nha Trang.

ALMA is a 5-star resort multi-complex perfectly combining the elegance of modern Asia and Europe, offering a unique relaxation experience to customers. Currently, the project is being actively implemented and is in the phase of levelling and constructing the infrastructure system.

Upon its completion in 2018, the resort will provide 200 villas and 400 apartments.
