Speaking at the event, Dang Chung Thuy, representative of the Vietnam Embassy in Germany, indicated that Germany had been Vietnam’s leading commercial partner in the EU and that the latter had also strived to become the most significant commercial partner of Germany in Southeast Asia after over a decade of strategic cooperation.
Such achievements are embraced by the reckless efforts in connecting the governments of the two countries, as well as a strong desire of the business community within each nation. In practice, many large enterprises in Vietnam have been increasingly enthusiastic about partnering with the German and EU markets. A typical example is FLC Group – a proactive enterprise with significant contributions in tourism infrastructure, aviation, and real estate.

“Bamboo Airways has built a bridge that connects Vietnam with the largest airport in Germany. At the moment, Germany and Vietnam have the pandemic well under control, and policies for safe business resumption in place," said Quyet. The chairman also revealed that Bamboo Airways will expand its flight network to other major cities of Germany, and thereby turn the country into one of the most important markets of the airline in Europe.

According to Roft Schulze, former ambassador of Germany to Vietnam and president of the German-Vietnamese Friendship Association, FLC and Bamboo Airways have been taking advantage of the opportunities derived from the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany. He believes that Bamboo Airways's route to Frankfurt is a significant factor that allows the relationship between the two nations to further strengthen.
“I am delighted, and I have requested the chairman of FLC that it is of high necessity to launch flights to Berlin and Munich soon. When this happens, I will be the first one stepping on the plane from Berlin to Vietnam”, added Schulze.
The event was also attended by German senior leaders and representatives of ministries and the business community.
Dang Tat Thang, vice chairman of FLC and general director of Bamboo Airways, said that Bamboo Airways and FLC wish to partner with German businesses that operate in the real estate, project engineering and management, real estate distribution, customer acquisition, and travel.
In addition to planned passenger flights between Berlin and Munich and Vietnam, Bamboo Airways has expanded its cargo network to provide access for more German products to Vietnam and improve the export of Vietnamese agricultural products to Germany.
