Deputy PM, FM Minh to visit Canada, US
Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh will pay official visits to Canada from September 29-30 and the US from October 1-2 at the invitations of Canadian FM John Baird and US Secretary of State John Kerry, respectively.

During his visit to Viet Nam in March last year, Canadian FM John Baird affirmed that Viet Nam is an important partner of Canada.
The two-way trade between Viet Nam and Canada reached nearly US$2.6 billion in 2013. Canada is the 14th biggest foreign investor in the Southeast Asian country.
Meanwhile, Viet Nam and the US set up comprehensive partnership in July 2013. Since then, the US side sent a number of high-ranking delegations to Viet Nam.
Both Viet Nam and the US share the view of consolidating and enhancing ASEAN’s central role, ensuring security and freedom of navigation and aviation in the East Sea.
