Speaking at the singing ceremony, Hagino Tatsuya, senior director of Project Development and Construction at AEON Vietnam, said, "After careful research, AEON Vietnam found that the northern province of Nam Dinh lies in the southern centre of the Red River Delta with quick and wide connectivity to many localities in the region. The province has a rapid economic growth and a good potential population. Along with these favourable conditions, the company has also received support and cooperation from authorities at all levels and branches of Nam Dinh, which offers dedicated and thoughtful guidance in implementing regulations and procedures."

If the province greenlights the investment, AEON Vietnam commits to the implementation of the project in strict compliance with the laws to provide quality services to local people and promote Nam Dinh's goods in Vietnam and foreign markets through AEON's network of facilities and infrastructure. At the same time, the project is expected to create jobs for local people and promote the attraction of Nam Dinh to more Japanese investors.

Appreciating the scale, potential, and position of AEON Group in the international arena as well as in Vietnam, Pham Dinh Nghi, Chairman of Nam Dinh People's Committee, welcomed AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd. to conduct research and invest in the AEON Shopping Mall in the province.

Accordingly, Nam Dinh People's Committee encourages AEON Vietnam and its partners to explore the feasibility of developing the AEON Shopping Mall in Nam Dinh city. The provincial People's Committee will create favourable conditions for the investor to conduct research and surveys.

Nam Dinh People's Committee and relevant departments will support and guide AEON Vietnam and its partners to comply with necessary procedures during the research. The province will prepare technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, and appropriate legal frameworks for investor selection in accordance with legal regulations.

The local leader highlighted that the province has attracted $400 million in foreign direct investment since the beginning of 2023. Against the backdrop of synchronous investments in transport infrastructure and improved regional connectivity, the investment proposal of AEON Shopping Mall in Nam Dinh will create driving forces for the local trade and service sector, thereby improving the proportion of trade and service in Nam Dinh's economic structure.
