Shiny improves the living environment in Vietnam

With regards to environmental technology, Shiny has not only made use of its experience and technological acumen, but it has also joined hands with big and reputable Japanese partners to bring Japan’s most advanced and environmentally friendly technologies to Vietnam – for application in fields such as water supply and drainage, waste-water treatment, and waste-to-energy generation.

By virtue of its exclusive technology, the group received funding from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of a Japanese technology export programme for a pilot project to treat waste-water at Phuoc Hiep landfill in Ho Chi Minh City. Shiny teamed up with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment to successfully wrap up the project.

With official development assistance (ODA) funding from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Shiny joined hands with Mitsubishi Morgan Stanley to conduct a project studying the impact of climate change on water resources in the Mekong River basin. The goal of this project is to develop measures leveraging Shiny’s water treatment technology to curb climate change implications.

After this study, Shiny encouraged the use of water purifying devices for local people as a measure to cope with climate change across Ho Chi Minh City, Yangon in Myanmar, and other locations.

The project received a lot of praise from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Notably, Shiny has begun a comprehensive co-operation with JFE, Japan’s leading player in environmentally friendly water and waste treatment technology, for investments in a string of water supply projects across many Vietnamese cities and provinces.

In tandem with JFE, Shiny is proposing a water supply project in Bau Nang in the southern province of Tay Ninh, with a capacity of 30,000 cubic metres per day in the first phase of investment. The capacity is expected to reach 80,000 cubic metres per day in the second phase. During Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s visit to Japan early this month, Shiny and JFE expect to sign a memorandum of understanding on fields: water supply and drainage infrastructure, solid waste treatment towards environment-friendly tendency, attesting to their inclusive co-operation.

With respect to investment consultancy, under the brand name ShinyReal, Shiny acts as a trustworthy advisor to Japanese investors venturing into real estate and other foreign direct investment and technology transfer fields. Apart from helping Japanese investors find solid investment projects in real estate, Shiny also promotes networking between Vietnamese developers and Japanese partners to promote project development in Vietnam.

As for investment consultancy, Shiny proudly acts as the Vietnamese coordinator for Japanese partner groups consisting of high-profile firms. The group is also involved in co-operative environmental efforts between the Japanese city Osaka and Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to providing Japanese investors running projects in Vietnam with useful advice, Shiny has also called for more investors to partake in infrastructure and welfare projects across Vietnam.
