TH Group commences construction of foodstuff factory in Thai Binh

The new factory of TH Group in Thai Binh helps expand the firm's investment portfolio

The new project, with an estimated investment of VND620 billion ($26.95 million), is the first high-tech factory of its type in Vietnam. Scheduled to be completed in early 2023, it will produce chilli and tomato sauce, fresh nutritious gruel, and instant rice. All equipment is imported from Europe, the US, and Japan.

“This is the fourth factory of TH Group in Vietnam for nutritious products. The factory will be in line with TH Group's mission on bringing nutrition to Vietnamese people, with the first priority given to those at schooling age,” said Ngo Minh Hai, chairman of the board of directors of TH Group.

The production line for nutritious gruel will use a sterilised automatic technology able to shorten the time for temperature processing which helps ensure a high quality of products.

Meanwhile, chilli and tomato sauce production will use high technology in automatically collecting and processing fruits and then packaging products, with quality kept thanks to a state-of-the-art system in continuous sterilisation.

The factory will also feature an instant rice production line, which will be the first in Vietnam. Rice portions will be canned in trays. All technologies are imported from Japan and are automatic from semi-processing to sterilising and cooking rice, as well as canning. This would help ensure the best quality of products, with them being free from preservatives.

The factory will be based in Thai Binh as the province has enormous advantages in agricultural production, with many concentrated production areas covering a total of 14,000 hectares. The province’s annual rice output reaches more than one million tonnes, of which 30-35 per cent is high-quality rice.

TH Group will cooperate with farmers to develop materials, and this will help drive local socioeconomic development.

Highly appreciating this new project of TH Group, Nguyen Khac Than, chairman of Thai Binh People’s Committee said, “Once becoming operational, the factory will help develop organic models in the production of vegetables and fruits, as well as other farm produce in the province. It will also generate jobs for local employees.”

He also stressed, “The project demonstrates the strategic vision of TH Group, and reaffirms the province’s consistent policy and high political determination in boosting agricultural restructuring.”

TH Group marketed a series of nutritious foodstuff over the past few years

Under the leadership of labour heroine Thai Huong, founder of TH Group and general director of BAC A BANK, TH Group is implementing many projects.

The biggest one in Vietnam is a $1.2-billion project in the central province of Nghe An, featuring a state-of-the-art dairy cow farm and fresh milk production plant, which currently has a capacity of 500,000 tonnes of fresh milk a year. The project has been recognised as “The most concentrated large-scale high-tech dairy cow production project in the world” by the Asian Book of Records and has received the “Enterprise with High-tech Application” certificate from Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

After implementing the farm in Nghe An, TH Group is also carrying out similar projects at a smaller scale in many localities such as Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Thanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Kon Tum, and Soc Trang. All dairy farms are supplying a huge volume of fresh and clean milk for domestic consumption and export to China and Cambodia.

In addition, TH Group is also developing a concentrated large-scale high-tech dairy cow production project in Russia, with total investment capital of $2.7 billion.
