Tasty French food and wines on offer

This year’s edition of Balade en France, a major event in Vietnam for promoting French gastronomy and wines, will take place on October 26-27 at the five-star Equatorial hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

During the two-night event, restaurants and wine merchant partners will help guests discover and taste various traditional French dishes such as pan-fried foie gras, ratatouille niçoise, cold-cut, and crepes, as well as savour wines from the most renowned French wine regions – Bordeaux, Rhone, South-west, Languedoc, Loire and Provence.

Served together with the dishes are entertainment shows and activities. In addition, guests attending the event will have a chance to win the prizes of two return air tickets to Paris among many lucky draw prizes.

Balade en France 2012 is organised by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam and the Hotel Equatorial in cooperation with Sopexa, a French Marketing Agency for Food Wine and Lifestyle, and the French Ministry for food, agriculture and fishing. Balade en France is supported by the French Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

The ticket price is VND550,000 ($27) for pre-sales and VND650,000 ($32) onsite, VND200,000 ($10) for children until 14 and free for children under 5.
