Siba Food and FPT IS implement Rise with SAP solution to standardise business operations

RISE with SAP is a complete offering of cloud solutions, infrastructure, and services that bundles existing tools, technologies, and intelligence into a holistic ‘business transformation as a service’ model.

The solution is a crucial step for Siba Food in streamlining operations and establishing a digital platform that adheres to international standards, enabling the business to thrive.

This is a specific model applied to the retail industry to address specific issues in the agricultural industry.

Solutions developed on the SAP Fiori integration platform connect to each business store nationwide, meeting the streamlining of system use in stores while still ensuring rigour and convenience when checking data for the office block.

Siba Food has calculated the actual cost of importing pork pieces and retailing snakehead fish at customers' stores and meat shops.

Additionally, businesses use S/4HANA Fiori at each store to perform warehouse transactions, compare and control inventory data, manage inventory to ensure accuracy and minimise reconciliation time for the accounting department.

SAP S/4HANA is integrated with eInvoice, and eBanking POS systems, providing digital value chain 4.0 applications for daily transaction operations in stores and back-office blocks.

The project is engaged by nearly 100 stories of Siba Food nationwide. It helps Siba Food to centrally manage in real time on a single platform, optimising information resources for quick analysis and decision-making.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, CEO of Siba Food, revealed that having FPT IS as an implementing partner to deploy SAP S/4HANA successfully was an important step in their digital transformation process.

FPT IS specifically operates the RISE with SAP, which includes the SAP S/4HANA system for Siba Food, along with subsystems such as FI, CO, SD, PP, PS, QM, and CAR. The system is also integrated with other systems, including POS, eBanking of SHB Bank, and electronic invoices FPT eInvoice.

Siba Food Vietnam JSC is currently developing a retail chain including Siba Food clean food stores and BaF Meat shop clean pork sales points, a reputable address for customers to buy BaF Meat vegetarian pork with the pigs raised totally from plant foods, herbs and probiotics.

All other food sources are committed to strict control by Siba Food in terms of traceability to ensure freshness and health for consumers.

In Vietnam, FPT IS is a Gold partner of SAP and the first company to achieve a specialised ERP implementation competency certificate.

The company aims to become an expert in implementing SAP Cloud projects, especially RISE S/4HANA for the domestic market.
