From 8.30pm to 9.30pm, lights and electronic appliances at Sunrise Hoi An Beach Resort, Sunrise Nha Trang Hotel & Spa, StarCity Saigon Hotel and StarCity Suoi Mo Hotel will be off.
“Earth Hour” is a global ideal initiated by the World Wildlife Fund, held annually towards the end of March to encourage households and businesses to switch off their non-essential lights for an hour in hopes of mobilising people to take action on climate change.
Sven A. Saebel, general director of OCH, said OCH had recognised the important role of the challenges of climate changes and highly appreciated the initiative of “Earth Hour”.
“Saving energy is one of our efforts forward stable development and environment friendly which OGH has been applied for the group as well as its subsidiaries,” Saebel said.
On this occasion, OCH also encourages its customers to cut unnecessary electronic appliances in their rooms during Earth Hour.
In this day, OCH’s hotels from Halong, Hoi An, to Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City will bring its customers significant experiences.
Instead of using electronic appliances, customers in Sunrise Hoi An Beach Resort will be entertained seafood buffet lighted by lanterns. The StarCity Saigon Hotel will offer its customers with buffet under the candles prepared by famous experienced chef Somnuck Attaworn.
