DTZ to consult on U Silk City project

DTZ, the global real estate services firm, has been awarded the research and development consultancy role for the prestigious U Silk City Retail Mall project in Hanoi, the company has announced.


DTZ will be providing the developer of the project, Song Da Thang Long Joint Stock Company, with a comprehensive retail consultancy service, including market research, design review and market-positioning advice.

The retail component of this mixed-use retail and residential project will total 70,000 square metres of shopping space in an integrated four storey commercial centre. 

This retail centre will be set within the project area of approximately 92,000 square metres which will comprise nine luxury apartment buildings of between 25-50 floors providing over 3,000 units. The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Edmund Tie, executive chairman of DTZ South East Asia, a property veteran of some 40 years of real estate experience in Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia commented:  “DTZ is privileged to be given the challenge to provide development consultancy advice  in such a mixed-use prestigious project and will bring to bear our relevant experience in retail development consultancy to enhance overall marketability.”

DTZ’s track record in providing advice on similar retail projects is extensive throughout Southeast Asia from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
