Becamex IDC and Central Retail Vietnam joined forces to develop the GO! shopping mall in Binh Duong

After 20 years of developing industrial infrastructure, Binh Duong has become the most developed industrial province in Vietnam. However, the rapid industrial development has created a significant gap between the manufacturing and retail and service industries in Binh Duong. Thus, the province is looking to close the gap by creating a balanced and sustainable economy in the next phase of development with more emphasis on the retail and service sector.

With the support of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, after intensive research, Becamex IDC Corporation and Central Group from Thailand has reached high consensus in the development plan for the GO! shopping mall project at My Phuoc Industrial Park, Ben Cat Town. This is the foundation for the long-term cooperation as well as contributing to the development of the local retail and service sector.

Covering a planning area of three hectares, the GO! shopping mall project is situated in Binh Duong Innovation Region, which is part of the Binh Duong Smart City project (2021-2025). The zone has been planned with a diverse ecosystem featuring many key constructions in place and underway such as Vietnamese-German International University, Thu Dau Mot University, SetiaBecamex Urban Area, as well as electronics and home appliance stores of Toyota, Dien May Xanh, The Gioi Di Dong. It is also home to many large-scale industrial parks such as My Phuoc 1-2-3-4, Bau Bang, and VSIP with several factories in operation.

The GO! Shopping Mall was built at the arterial roads of National Highway 13 and Ring Road 4, providing convenient access to neighbouring localities such as Cu Chi, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, and the Central Highlands provinces. In the near future, this shopping mall will become the focal point of the community, able to serve more than 300,000 people in the locality and surrounding area.

Today’s event of cooperation with a leading Thai cooperation, Central Group, is of great importance, affirming that Becamex IDC’s development model has fully converged the necessary conditions, with the core being a comprehensive ecosystem, catering to the diverse needs of all investors.”

Meanwhile, Langlet Olivier Bernard, general director of Central Retail Vietnam said, “GO! shopping mall construction project at Ben Cat town has a scale of three floors with a planning area of three hectares, and total investment of $35 million. The malll will feature fashion business stores, dining areas, supermarket, and entertainment zones, thereby transforming the facade of the local retail sector and contributing to the economic and social development of Ben Cat Town in particular and Binh Duong province in general."

Binh Duong, one of the dynamic localities in Vietnam, is at the forefront of administrative reform. The authorities and leaders always support and create favourable conditions for investors with the open investment attraction policy. The GO! shopping mall project is being highly appreciated by the locality due to its impact. Hopefully, the project will continue to receive the attention of the local leaders to be implemented on schedule, thereby meeting the expectations of investors and people and creating added value for the whole area.
