At AkzoNobel, all developmental researches start from in-depth understanding about customers’ demand. In the business unit of power coatings, AkzoNobel products also bring great benefits to both the environment and the customers. Specifically, the raw materials that are used to make powder coating products do not contain solvents; it means that they do not emit any volatile organic compound to the environment, as well as reducing the risk of fire during the process of storage and application.

The unique production methods allow products to immediately achieve an effective coating by only one coating layer; and the excess powder can still be reused without compromising the quality of the construction. AkzoNobel has launched the “Carbon Credit” initiative to convert existing anti-fouling coatings to premium release paints that reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions by up to 9 per cent such as the products in the International coating with AkzoNobel's Intersleek technology.

AkzoNobel also is the pioneer in promoting the green architecture trend in Vietnam by not only introducing and providing customers with eco-friendly solutions but also aiming at partnering with multiple parties towards building sustainable future. Some most remarkable activities include organising Smart City – Sustainable City seminars that has attracted the participation of more than 600 architects, investors and developers nationwide in June 2018; sponsoring for Sustainable Real Estate Development Conference in Ho Chi Minh City in July and organising for Vietnamese architects on joining the Green Building Week in September 2018…
