The project aims to develop wind power technology; tap potentials of the energy; build a database and planning on wind power development at national and local levels; improve competence on management, planning and investment with regard to wind power development.
The € 3.7 million project will be conducted in four years (2014-2018) of which the German Government provides a non-refundable aid of € 3.6 million and the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) covers the rest.
It consists of three components including a program to measure and assess wind power potentials; the making of pre-feasible and feasible reports on wind power; and assistance to the drafting of a master scheme on wind power development.
The MoIT is to ensure the implementation of the project on schedule.
