VietJet Air flies to Bangkok

The Vietnamese low-fare airlines of VietJet Air officially opened a direct air route between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok on the occasion of the Lunar New Year festival.

At present, the carrier provides one flight between the two cities.

According to its officials, the carrier will continue to open two direct air routes between Hanoi and Bangkok in May 2013 and between Da Nang and Bangkok in August.

VietJet Air was founded in Vietnam a year ago. The carrier has 9 domestic air routes and is seeking to enter ASEAN and Northeast Asian markets.

VietJet Air’s Vice President for Business Pritam Singh said that the carrier was planning to have direct flights to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Taiwan, Pusan and Seoul of South Korea in 2013.
