Ho Chi Minh City ready for countdown to 2015

An outdoor music party titled “Escape New Year 2015 - Age of Tomorrow” will be held on December 31 at Lot 13, Tan Trao Street, Phu My Hung in District 7, promising to bring a bustling New Year celebration to the city.

The event will feature performances by the famous trance group Aly & Fila including two Egyptian DJs Aly Amr Fathalah and Fadi Wassef Naguib.

The stage will be designed following a modern-fictitious theme with light installations and performances.

Another event which will be open to the public in District 7 is the “Sapporo Countdown Party” at the Crescent Lake area.

Visitors will be able to enjoy performances by famous local singers and DJs, as well as join activities on a floating bar to be built on the Crescent Lake.

A countdown ceremony will start at 11:59 pm on December 31 with colorful light performances.

For those who want a new experience on the occasion, welcoming the New Year on the river is an option.

A New Year’s Eve party will take place from 8:30 pm on December 31 to 00:30 the next day aboard the Lady Hau cruise ship. The ship will depart from Bach Dang Port in District 1 at 8:30 pm for a trip on the Saigon River, then anchor from 11:15 pm to 00:20 for those on board to watch the fireworks celebrating the New Year.

Leaving all the worries and sadness of 2014 behind, guests will enjoy delicious meals, listen to music, breathe the fresh air of the Saigon River, and welcome a new beginning with hope and happiness.

Enjoying the arrival of the New Year “on top of the city” is also worth a try.

The New Year’s Eve 2015 party to be thrown on December 31 at Chill Bar, one of the most popular rooftop bars in Ho Chi Minh City with its amazing views, is also a good option for celebrating and watching the fireworks.

Besides good meals and stunning views, the night will be stirred by resident DJs and singers, promising attendees a lot of fun. The party starts at 9:00 pm.

In addition, parties in the city’s hotels are a nice choice for people who want to celebrate the New Year with their beloved in quiet, private spaces.

The Sofitel Saigon Plaza in District 1 expects to bring diners a night to remember with a countdown party at one of the highest rooftop pool bars in the city on the hotel’s 18 floor.

Patrons of the party, which will start at 10:00 pm on December 31 and end at 1:30 am the following day, will be able to enjoy food and watch the fireworks while relishing the latest hits played by the hotel’s DJs.

Another downtown hotel, the Hotel Continental Saigon, will offer a “Countdown Party - New Year 2015” with a buffet including more than 40 dishes from East to West. Diners will also be able to play games and receive gifts at the event.

The party will begin at 10:00 pm on December 31 and end at 1:00 am on January 1.
