These three RMQC cranes, which were designed to handle 65 tonnes of cargo containers, each weighing 1,400 tonnes, are 84 metres high, 144 metres long, and 26 metres wide.

They left Doosan Vina’s dedicated port on September 10 and will be deployed at BMCTPL in the Jawaharlal Port area of the Port of Nehru, Mumbai, India.

The transit is expected to take two weeks. Once docked and unloaded, they will be tested, commissioned, and delivered to the customer and because these “Made in Vietnam” cranes were fully assembled prior to shipment, they will soon be able to begin loading and unloading cargo at their new home in India.

Located at India’s largest container port, BMCT has berths with a depth of 16.5 meters and docks that are 2,000 metres in length. BMCT is well-connected to key markets in India by a network of highways and railroads and the projected capacity of the port is 4.8 million TEUs per annum.

Since Doosan Vina’s grand opening in May 2009, the company has manufactured and shipped 71 giant cargo container cranes to customers around the world.
