Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Le Hai Binh made the statement during the press briefing on March 13.
Over the past days, Viet Nam has actively deployed synchronous measures, including the sending of a number of planes and vessles to trace the missing aircraft.
The National Committee for Search and Rescue is working 24 hours a day and established a steering unit in Phu Quoc island to direct the search-rescue work. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also set up a special task force to coordinate with the relevant agencies.
Earlier on March 8-9, Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh made phone calls to Foreign Ministers of Malaysia and China to shares the deep concern of Malaysia, China, relevant countries, as well as the families of passengers on the flight MH370.
He also affirmed that Viet Nam stands ready to create favorable for and coordinate with forces of China and other countries in this sear-rescue operation.
