The project aims to support Vietnamese businesses with less than 500 full-time employees in prioritised industries, including agriculture, forestry and fisheries, processing and manufacturing, IT, logistics, and tourism.
To receive support packages, businesses must apply through the application portal that is open from July 1 to October 30.

Following the success of the two previous intake with more than 700 businesses applied, USAID IPSC continues to provide Vietnamese businesses with support packages that satisfy their specific needs in the new normal thanks to the guidance of experts.
Having lasted for five years, the project seeks to improve business governance capacity, technology, financial access, market expansion, and innovation, and promote a favorable investment and business environment.
Selection criteria
Applicants for the USAID IPSC must be small and growing businesses registered in Vietnam with less than 500 full-time employees, and without any outstanding legal issues.
Eligible businesses are required to meet additional criteria, including having at least 51 per cent of their equity capital owned by Vietnamese and revenue growth for two consecutive years in the period from 2017 to 2021.

For the premium package, businesses must already have made-in-Vietnam products or services that are export-oriented and were profitable every year for the 2017-2021 period.
The premium package is tailored specifically for each business to foster Vietnamese value in their products and to promote Vietnamese brands’ position in domestic and international markets.
The business connection support package welcomes businesses with a large and diverse network of members and customers to provide consulting services to aid development.
Registration time
Seven to 15 days after the closing date of the intake period, the project will send out eligibility notifications to registered enterprises and inform them about the roadmap of the technical assistance support.
In the next step, eligible businesses will be invited to an orientation workshop. As of June 30, USAID IPSC received a total of 710 applicants for the project’s support packages, including cooperatives, family businesses, and others.
These businesses have received one-on-one consultations with experts, along with intensive training, and business links.
IPSC is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Planning and Investment is the project owner.
