Siemens reshuffles CEOs in Asia

The global powerhouse in electronics and electrical engineering Siemens AG today appoints new CEOs for India, Singapore and China.

Accordingly, Sunil Mathur, who has held a variety of positions at Siemens over the past 25 years, has been appointed CEO of Siemens’ Regional Company in India.

Currently the CFO of the Regional Company in India, Mathur will succeed Armin Bruck who is moving from India to Singapore for the post of CEO of Siemens’ Regional Company in the city state.

The current CEO of the Singapore Regional Company, Lothar Herrmann, has been named to head Siemens China. He will succeed Mei-Wei Cheng, who is retiring on expiry of his contract.

Siemens AG (Berlin and Munich) is operating in the fields of industry, energy and healthcare as well as providing infrastructure solutions, primarily for cities and metropolitan areas.

For over 165 years, Siemens has stood for technological excellence, innovation, quality, reliability and internationality.

The company is the world’s largest provider of environmental technologies with around 40 per cent of its total revenue stems from green products and solutions. In fiscal 2012, which ended on September 30, 2012, revenue from continuing operations totaled €78.5 billion and income from continuing operations €4.7 billion.

At the end of September 2012, Siemens had around 370,000 employees worldwide on the basis of continuing operations.
