PepsiCo Foods Vietnam honoured in Top 10 Vietnam Best Places to Work 2020

In 2020, PepsiCo Foods Vietnam carved out a spot in the Top 10 Vietnam Best Places to Work and the Top 10 companies with responsive human capital initiatives at Vietnam HR Awards 2020.    

PepsiCo Foods was hailed as one of the Top 10 Best Places to Work on October 22 (when compared in all industries). Methodology and ranking results are developed by Anphabe, the prestigious career network for management professionals with consultation from Intage, a market research company.

Furthermore, on November 25, 2020, PepsiCo Foods Vietnam continues to win the Top 10 Excellent Companies with Responsive Human Capital Initiative Award at Vietnam HR Awards 2020. This award is organised by the Labor and Social Affairs Newspaper in collaboration with Talentnet Corporation. This year’s theme is “Win the unplanned” – awarding outstanding human resource strategy companies to tackle this year’s many adversities brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

First held in 2014, Vietnam HR Awards has been welcomed by many firms in Vietnam and has become a “progressive playing field” for leaders inside and outside the field of human resources. Themed “Win the unplanned”, this year’s HR Awards seeks to honour companies with outstanding human resources strategies who have successfully weathered this year’s many adversities stemming from the COVID-19.

At Vietnam HR Awards 2020, Nguyen Ha Trang – Human Resources director of PepsiCo Foods Vietnam shared the story of “Winning frontlines’ hearts”. “Our employees are always motivated to overcome psychological barriers during the social distancing period. In case of quarantine, the company guarantees the income for every individual. Moreover, employees will always feel connected through our virtual communication channels,” Trang shared.

Unexpectedly, 2020 witnesses a huge uncertainty outspread globally, especially in business world, due to COVID-19 pandemic. With the massage “employees’ health and safety is the first and foremost priority”, PepsiCo Foods Vietnam has provided “Flexible working policies”, which allows employees to balance job demands with their interests and responsibilities outside of work.

The human factor is highly valued at PepsiCo Foods Vietnam, so that the company not only attracts but also retains talents, those that accompany and develop alongside it, those that would always feel the “PepsiCo Proud”.

The safety of associates is always the company’s top priority, not only considering its employees – but also more than 2,400 farmers – who are partners of the company’s potato cultivation projects. They are provided and fully equipped with proper personal protective equipment that will protect users against health or safety risks at work.

Also, the company has been actively invested in the right communication channel (called “Virtual Coffee Chat”) between leaders and skip-level employees for leaders to understand and support employees timely. The company also provides employees with a hotline, so that the experts can listen and counsel employees at the right time to help them overcome pressure during the pandemic.

Besides many policies that ensure employees’ well-being and development, PepsiCo Foods Vietnam has also contributed a lot for the community. Since the beginning of the year, the “Trieu Bua Com” (Millions of Meals) Campaign by PepsiCo Foods Vietnam in collaboration with Suntory PepsiCo and Vietnam Youth Federation have delivered 600,000 meals to people with special needs during the social distancing period.

The company also spent VND4.7 billion ($204,350) to acquire ventilators, echocardiography machines, and other medical equipment for six hospitals across the country. PepsiCo Foods Vietnam received 2020 AmCham CSR Recognition Award presented by the American Chambers of Commerce in Hanoi for their efforts to help address society’s needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
