NIC Hoa Lac offers five days of innovative showcases

The inauguration of the NIC under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) in Hoa Lac High-Tech Park on October 28 signifies a significant milestone on its journey to propel the development of the entrepreneurial innovation ecosystem in Vietnam.

After nearly three years of construction, the facility is now prepared to commence operations, serving as a focal point for converging and connecting various entities within the innovation and creative transformation ecosystem.

With a series of activities fostering innovation and creativity, the key events at the NIC Hoa Lac opening ceremony serve as tangible evidence of the government's commitment to the advancement of the Vietnam innovation ecosystem. These activities are anticipated to establish a space for exchange, connectivity, and exhibition of solutions for businesses and industry entities.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung will deliver opening remarks, statingthe vision, mission, and direction of the centre within Vietnam's innovation ecosystem.

Government officials and embassy representatives will tour exhibition zones, engage in hands-on experiences, and meet with select partners and notable exhibitors.

A visual art performance combining 3D mapping and stage motion symbolises Vietnam's advancements and the pioneering role of NIC in the national innovation journey.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023 will take place over five days, where exhibiting entities will have the opportunity to showcase and promote their innovative products and services in eight sectors.

Content includes advanced technologies for enhanced operational efficiency and the integration of Industry 4.0 in smart manufacturing; experiencing urban management technologies centred on digital solutions, data governance, and citizen-centric approaches in smart cities; showcased innovations in hydro technology and renewable energy; and engagement with advanced technologies in semiconductor manufacturing, shaping the electronics industry.

Tech will also be on show in terms of optimising healthcare operations, enhancing quality, and broadening medical service access; solutions for resource management activities, fostering a sustainable and green future; digital communication technologies alongside creative content that creates an immersive and captivating experience in digital media; and cybersecurity solutions, exemplifying Vietnam's progress in establishing and maintaining digital infrastructure.

During the five days, numerous industry conferences will be held at NIC Hoa Lac. Specifically, a conference on energy transition and green hydrogen development will take place in the afternoon of October 28.

The following afternoon, the Vietnam Semiconductor Summit will discuss the current status and growth opportunities of Vietnam's industry, along with human resources and establishing an incubation centre.

And on October 30, the Vietnam Ventures Summit will be a dialogue platform between domestic and international investment funds, government advisory bodies, and the local startup and innovation community to enhance connections within the domestic ecosystem and the global investment fund network.

In the following days, numerous conferences will also take place on the gaming industry, corporate innovation, blockchain, healthcare, and much more.

NIC ready for the inauguration next two weeks The inauguration week of the NIC (the National Innovation Centre) as well as many exhibitions and seminars will take place during October 28 - November 1, 2023.

NIC determined to remain at forefront of technology The semiconductor value chain is moving to Southeast Asia, and Vietnam has an advantage in the region, so fully welcomes all new opportunities. But unless semiconductor technology is fully mastered, the country will remain on the sidelines of core technology.
