Accordingly, the units to set up rapid response teams include the Ministry of Health's (MoH) Agency of Health Examination and Treatment, 31 central hospitals, and provincial general hospitals.

Each rapid response team is equipped with an ambulance, means of resuscitation, personal protective gear, and chemical disinfectant, among others.

The decision was made after on January 30 three Vietnamese citizens returning from China's Wuhan tested positive for coronavirus, making them the first Vietnamese citizens infected with the virus.

According to the latest update from the MoH, the epidemic has been detected in 22 countries. As of 6 am of January 31, the total number of coronavirus infections reached 8,239, including 8,124 in China. The deadly virus killed 171 people so far, all in China.

There have been 115 cases of infection reported outside of China, in Thailand (14 cases), Australia (9 cases), Singapore (10 cases), the US (6 cases), Japan (11 cases), Malaysia (8 cases), South Korea (4 cases), France (5 cases), Vietnam (5 cases), Cambodia (1 case), Canada (3 cases), Germany (4 cases), Nepal (1 case), Sri Lanka (1 case), UAE (4 cases), Finland (1 case), Hong Kong (10 cases), Macau, (7 cases), Taiwan (9 cases), India (1 case), and the Philippines (1 case).
