Microsoft and Q-Mobile committed to bring enticing mobile experience to Vietnam’s users

Today, in Hanoi, Microsoft and Q-Mobile officially signed the memorendum of understanding to open up prospects of cooperation, heading to common goal of promoting the growth of Windows Phone devices in Vietnam market.

 

The year of 2013 remarked the vigorous change of Windows Phone operating system in the world as well as in Vietnam. With a growth rate six times faster compared to overall market, and current market share over 20 per cent in Vietnam, Windows Phone and other serives from Microsoft have made achievments which surprised technology world and users in terms of creativity and growth.

Founded in 2003, with specific strategy and direction, Q-Mobile after more than 10 years has become a local mobile phone brand which is the most favourite in Vietnam. In 2014, witnessing the takeoff of Windows Phone operating system in Vietnam, Q-Mobile takes its focus on developing Window Phone mobiles.

The MOU with Microsoft is a strategic step so that Windows Phone products of Q-Mobile can access the market, besides, it can strengthen Q-Mobile’s brand image when it joins the development of mobile applications ecosystem for Windows Phone in Vietnam.

“We are proud with our great advances of Windows Phone operating systems in the world as well as in Vietnam. Windows Phone application store now is over 250,000 applications and reaches 14 million downloads per day worldwide,” said Eddie O’Brien, Microsoft’s vice president of Operator Channel. “This ceremony today has very important meaning in the establishment of strategic partnership aiming at enhancing cooperation between Microsoft and Q-Mobile in term of providing high quality and multi-application Windows Phone mobiles at Vietnam. In the mean time, the MOU also opens up prospects of cooperation to jointly strive for the continuous development of mobile applications ecosystem for Windows Phone in Vietnam towards the utmost goal of meeting users’ expectation of unique and fresh experience.”

In the memorandum’s framework, Microsoft committed to enhance the delivery of Q-Mobile’s products to approach users in Vietnam market through the large retail channel system, and help Q-mobile create a strong foothold in the Windows Phone ecosystem basing on the parner of developing applications in this mobile operating system.
