HPA's programme aimed to support businesses in Hanoi to come to grips with the new tax policies

On October 30, Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) organised a training programme to update participants on the new tax policies in 2020 and answer problems on the implementation of the new rules.

The programme is implemented to support businesses in Hanoi to fully and accurately grasp the new content of the Law on Tax Administration and the new regulations related to the tax industry, thereby promoting production and business activities to overcome the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, and at the same time develop the economy efficiently and in compliance with the law.

The lecturer of the programme was Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, member of the Vietnam Tax Consultants' Association and chairperson of the board of members of FAC Financial Accounting Consulting Co., Ltd.

Thuy Nga introduced to enterprises the Law on Tax Administration in 2019, including new points, the important role of the law, as well as the rights and obligations of agencies under the new law. Along with that, she also introduced Decree No.68/2020/ND-CP amending and supplementing Article 8.3 of Decree No.20/ 2017/ND-CP and Resolution No.954/2020/UBTVQH14 on adjusting the family deduction rate for personal income tax, among others.

On October 9, HPA also held a conference to disseminate customs policies on import and export goods applicable to foreign enterprises operating in the city.
