HCM City tops National Games with seven tennis titles

The national sports hub had no difficulty in winning seven titles in the men's and women's singles and doubles, team and mixed doubles categories.
On Sunday, the last day of the tennis events, former national No 1 Nguyen Hoang Thien beat Pham Minh Tuan of Da Nang 7-6, 6-3 in the men's singles final. Earlier, Huynh Phuong Dai Trang won 6-2, 6-0 over teammate Huynh Phi Khanh in the women's singles final.
Despite their clean sweep in tennis, HCM City are placed second in the medals tally with 29 gold medals. Ha Noi are on top with 35 gold medals, while the Military are placed third with 23 medals.
The largest national sporting event will officially commence on December 6 in Nam Dinh Province.
