Family Medical Practice, Vietnam’s leading private clinic, announced the availability of work-permit health checks at the Care 1 clinic, located in The Manor in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Care 1 clinic – one of Ho Chi Minh City’s only dedicated health-checking facilities – will commence offering the work permit health checks immediately. These checks are required by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs before issuing work permits (and then subsequently resident cards via the Ministry of Immigration) for all foreigners residing in Vietnam.

This follows recent amendments to laws which had previously limited such screenings to state owned hospitals. Upon satisfying all such checks, a certificate is supplied to the client for their work permit application – typically 3-4 days after the checks themselves.

The five-star Care 1 facility is located at The Manor at 91 Nguyen Huu Canh in Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Thanh district, is a 420 square metre facility that employs a full English speaking staff to facilitate the requirements of the city’s burgeoning expatriate community. Family Medical Practice employs more foreign doctors to service this community than any other clinic in Vietnam. The clinic typically sees over 100 people pass through its doors for screenings daily.
