DPM Hai to visit Netherlands, Finland

Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai will pay official visits to the Netherlands and Finland from September 22-26 at the invitation of the Governments of the two European countries.

In the Netherlands, the two sides will discuss the realization of the agreements reached during the Dutch PM’s visit to Viet Nam in June this year.

Deputy PM Hai will also co-chair the 4th session of the Viet Nam – Netherlands Inter-governmental Commission on climate change adaptation and water management.

The Netherlands is the largest European investor in Viet Nam with the registered capital of US$6.45 billion and the third largest importer of Viet Nam in the EU with the two-way trade turnover of US$3.6 billion per year.

In Finland, Deputy PM Hai will meet with Finnish leaders to discuss ways to realize the joint development cooperation program for the period 2013-2016 and orientations for post-2016 cooperation.

The two–way trade turnover reached around US$200-250 million annually. Finland has provided a total non-refundable official development assistance of US$340 million for Viet Nam.
