Coc Coc upgrades service to evolve with user needs

Coc Coc has announced some big changes which come after listening to users

The company, which puts people at the centre of its research and development activities, recently announced a new target of 30 million downloads on mobile phones from the existing 10.2 million installations on both iOS and Android. Moreover, Coc Coc aims to double usage of its PC version by developing additional utilities for users. The internet group has published its achievements for 2019, together with the latest update of its products and targets for 2020. Additionally, the company introduced a new board of directors and published stories about the browser’s development, its founders, investors, and major changes.

Established in 2010, Coc Coc currently has about 24 million active users, ranking second in the domestic market with 18 per cent market share in terms of traffic volume and 3.5 per cent market share in searches. Last April, Coc Coc launched its Newtab 4.0, featuring user-related news, with 4.2 million monthly users and more than 135 million visits to the proposed contents, contributing to increasing the browser usage time by 10 per cent.

CEO Jean-Paul Schmetz said, “Coc Coc’s growth speed depends on three main strategies – a deep understanding of local users, the application of the most modern technologies, and a comprehensive ecosystem. Schmetz added that the company acts as a pioneer in applying AI and machine learning in Vietnam. “We are willing to listen to people’s opinions to improve ourselves and create better services for our users,” he said.

The company plans to further enhance features for its browser such as integrated newsreader, download function, spellchecker, and more. Besides this, it will launch the Coc Coc Music feature, as well as improve its security and content filter capabilities.
