While both domestic and foreign companies are making important changes towards greening their operations, Tien Phong Plastic JSC is also actively following that direction.

Vietnam has been making efforts to pursue energy and environmental policies and improve social responsibility regulations. The country is also considering carbon taxation, which is generally considered a solid solution to limit emissions. Vietnam’s greening roadmap can also encourage businesses to develop more responsibly.

With nearly 65 years of experience in the lives of Vietnamese people through quality products, Tien Phong Plastic continues to strive for green production and sustainable development. The company’s products have been accepted by demanding markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and some European countries.

Specifically, at Tien Phong Plastic factories nationwide, the company strictly implements national standards, national technical regulations, and international standards in operating processes, such as ISO management systems and improvement tools such as TPM, Quacert, and others.

Keeping up with international trends, Tien Phong Plastic has received technology transfer and pioneered in researching and manufacturing popular products in the international market, such as double-layer corrugated pipes or products specifically for drainage systems.

The company is also the first enterprise in Southeast Asia and the only one in Vietnam to produce large-sized HDPE pipes of diametre nominal (DN) 2,000mm, and double-layer corrugated pipes of DN 1,000mm, thereby providing new and more convenient technical construction solutions for the Vietnamese market.

Constantly expanding its product range, the enterprise also focuses on greening the production environment. It strives to implement energy-saving solutions and minimise hazardous waste to create a safe working space for workers and the surrounding ecosystem, as well as meeting environmental standards set by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

In recent years, Tien Phong Plastic has also invested in a synchronous, modern system to reduce electricity usage. The company has installed sensors to control low pressure in the pneumatic system, installed controllers to regulate electricity usage of equipment, and used thermal LED lights or installed transparent plastic panels to bring natural light to factories. Also, it has set a goal of reducing scrap rate and recyclability to reduce construction waste, as well as other materials.

Tien Phong Plastic is cooperating with Japanese company Sekisui Chemical to research and produce a line of CPVC plastic pipes and fittings for fire protection systems. This can replace galvanised cast iron pipes and cross-wave products to create underground water regulating reservoirs. They are reusable and flexible in many terrains, not only reducing flooding but also storing clean water for drought areas.

Tran Nhat Ninh, deputy general director of Tien Phong Plastic, said, “Professional equipment helps us master technology, optimise work productivity, and pioneer in producing market-oriented products, serving consumer needs in many fields and opening up many cooperation opportunities with domestic and foreign enterprises.”

In order to be chosen by domestic and foreign partners such as Battenfeld Cincinnati, Corma, Iplex, and Sekisui, as well as domestic partners such as Minh Phu Group, PC1 Group, and Shinec to use its green products, Tien Phong Plastic has been at the forefront of applying green solutions to move towards carbon neutrality in production.

For green and ecological industrial parks, it is necessary to invest synchronously from the beginning. To do this, Tien Phong Plastic has been trusted by investors to cooperate to use the best materials, ensuring quality for the entire project.

In early 2024, Shinec selected the company as a strategic partner, providing all plastic pipes and fittings for Shinec’s industrial park and cluster infrastructure projects across the country. Currently, Tien Phong Plastic has provided products for Shinec’s Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park with high requirements, closely following the sustainable development trend towards carbon neutrality.

Tien Phong Plastic will continue to strive to improve and innovate to reduce emissions and produce green products, meeting the development needs in industrial and commercial real estate towards sustainable development.

The company also vows that every product manufactured must have multi-layered value, in which the greatest value is to contribute to realising Vietnam’s net-zero and green growth commitments.

Many people associate the plastics industry with waste and environmental pollution. In a bid to combat that perception, Tien Phong Plastic, which supplies 100,000 tonnes of plastic to the market each year, is adopting several solutions to ensure a clean, green production process as it moves towards sustainable development.
