Citi Vietnam and Vietnam Airlines announce partnership agreement

The partnership is expected to deliver significant values to affluent travelers who can benefit from Citi’s extensive retail network and Vietnam Airlines’ world-class aviation services.

Specifically, the partnership allows Citi PremierMiles Visa card members to easily directly redeem their ever-green PremierMiles into Golden LotusMiles of Vietnam Airlines.

Offer of LotusMiles for Citi’s card members who make purchases of Vietnam Airlines’ international flights is planned to debut early next year.

“The strategic partnership between Citibank Vietnam and Vietnam Airlines is deeply rooted in our close and effective cooperation for the past few years,” Raul Paredes, Citi Vietnam’s consumer business manager added. “We want to leverage this partnership to encourage members of Golden Lotus Programme to become Citi credit cardholders and vice versa, which in turn will accelerate general consumption.”

Earlier in September, Citi Vietnam introduced the first Visa Signature credit cards called Citi PremierMiles aiming at affluent traveler segment in Vietnam.

Being the third Visa credit cards, Citi PremierMiles Visa Signature is expected to leverage the bank’s unique global footprint and technology to deliver a world of experiences to card members at home or wherever they travel.

Citi PremierMiles Visa Signature card members will get 1 Premier Mile for every VND25,000 ($1.1) domestic spend and 1,5 Premier Mile for every VND25,000 overseas spend - this includes purchases made anywhere in the world, as well as cash advances.

It is worth noting that the PremierMiles never expire - so the card members can continue to accumulate PremierMiles and then redeem for free flights on over 75 airlines around the world and 3 hotel groups.
