AEON Vietnam opened AEON Ta Quang Buu last week, its eighth general merchandise store in Vietnam, as part of a strategy to expand its multi-retail formats to meet the needs of Vietnamese customers.

The store is located in Parc Mall, Ho Chi Minh City, and is aiming to become a one-stop-shopping destination for new families and Gen Z.

Furusawa Yasuyuki, executive officer of the group's Vietnamese business and AEON Vietnam general director, noted, “Our priority is to accelerate the new store opening and business category development to increase customer touchpoints. Through our expansion, we not only contribute to Vietnam’s commercial infrastructure development but also promotes the consumption of Vietnamese products through our store chain.”

According to Yasuyuki, AEON Vietnam will continue to open large shopping malls. However, to meet changing customer behaviour post-pandemic, AEON will develop multi-formats that are appropriate for the needs of local communities.

AEON Ta Quang Buu focuses on high-quality products at competitive prices through various promotions, making shopping more enjoyable for a wider range of customers.

AEON maintains strict food safety and hygiene standards, and shoppers can find a variety of seasonal fruits and groceries, including fresh produce certified by VietGap and Global Gap, ensuring high quality. The supermarket also prides itself on offering fresh meat, fish, and organic products.

Additionally, AEON Ta Quang Buu provides a range of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products, making meal preparation quick and easy for a more modern and convenient lifestyle. Key products include a variety of sauces that are perfect for a ready-to-cook lifestyle and healthy oils.

The Delica area at AEON Ta Quang Buu spans a 612 square metres with 160 seats, and is designed to meet the needs of customers of all generations. There are a variety of new products, including KUSHIYAKI - world of skewers with a diverse menu of sauces such as shio, teriyaki, and BBQ, new assortments of sushi, including inari and aburi, as well as fresh sashimi. AEON Bakery introduces new cuisine trends, featuring flat croissants, cream puffs (choux cream), and a range of tarts including cheese, egg, tiramisu, and fruit.

AEON Ta Quang Buu also presents over 1,000 items from AEON’s own "TOPVALU," ranging from beverages and snacks to beauty and health products. The store is further distinguished by HÓME COÓRDY, AEON’s lifestyle brand offering furniture, bedding, and home goods known for their quality and minimalist design.

Shoppers looking for beauty and wellness products will find a haven in Glam Beautique, which offers Japanese skincare products and branded cosmetics. Services such as personalised skin analysis and spa treatments will be available starting from November 2024.

Moreover, at MY CLOSET, customers can find a wide range of trendy and affordable women's clothing to make their own unique style.

In the Delica area, customers can pay at the self-ordering kiosk. AEON also offer semi self-checkout cashiers for customers using non-cash payment methods, and other services such as free dry ice, and smart lockers for convenience and efficiency for.

According to Yasuyuki, in its long-term strategy, AEON Group will accelerate its investment in Vietnam – the group's second hub, therefore contributing to a prosperous and sustainable lifestyle everywhere AEON represents.
