Under the patronage of the German Embassy in Hanoi and the German General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, the German Business Association (GBA) with its 153 German member corporations co-hosts and celebrates Germany’s largest cultural event in the two cities of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi this coming October.

The GBA, teamed up with the Moevenpick Hotel Hanoi and KBT- the exclusive distributor for German Bitburger Beer in Vietnam, to make the 4th Oktoberfest in Hanoi happen.

“This year’s Oktoberfest Hanoi is promising to be even bigger and more exciting and we expect on both event days a sold out event with more than 3000 guests,” Elmar Dutt, chairman of the German Business Association said.

The event is not only the largest German cultural events in Vietnam, but also across South East Asia. The Oktoberfest in Ho Chi Minh City is already ranked amongst the TOP 10 Oktoberfests outside of Munich/Germany according to the Reuters News Agency.

"We are honour to be the co-organiser with the German Oktoberfest 2013 in Vietnam. This is also our responsibility to bring to Hanoian the authentic atmosphere found in the massive beer halls of the original Oktoberfest in Munich, completed with delicious German cuisine and premium imported German brews," said Philip Jones, general manager of Mövenpick Hanoi Hotel.

The Oktoberfest 2013 will be held in Hanoi at Cung Xuan Event Centre in Vo Thi Sau street on October 24 and 25 with the support of nine sponsors who make the event possible and successful.
