The launch took place during the Color Fiesta: PARANORMAL event on October 6 in Ho Chi Minh City. By unveiling these licensed products at such a high-profile event, Wedge Holdings and SBNV successfully reached their target audience while reinforcing their position in Vietnam's licensed anime product market.
Wedge Holdings and SBNV have worked together to develop exclusive Haikyu!! and Bleach merchandise, including character collectibles such as badges, keychains, stickers, canvas bags, and office supplies like file folders and notebooks. The items were carefully crafted by creative teams from Japan and Vietnam to ensure top-tier quality and aesthetics. The goal is to meet the growing demand from Vietnam's anime fan community while bolstering the market presence of Wedge Holdings and SBNV.
At Color Fiesta: PARANORMAL, SBNV also hosted Vietnam's largest trading card game (TCG) festival, VIETNAM TCG MATSURI. This was the second edition of the event, following its success at the Japan Vietnam Festival in March 2024.
The festival brought together TCG enthusiasts from across Vietnam, featuring popular games like Conan TCG, Pokemon Card Game, One Piece Card Game, and large-scale tournaments.
The event's standout tournaments, "Conan TCG Challenge Color Fiesta" and "Haikyu!! Volleyball Game Color Fiesta," awarded prizes to top players. As Vietnam's official TCG distributor, SBNV not only offers the latest products, but also organises events and tournaments to support the local TCG community.
SBNV's trade representative, Duong Thanh Tai said, "Collaborating with Wedge Holdings to distribute licensed anime products in Vietnam is an incredible honour. We are committed to delivering high-quality products specifically tailored to the Vietnamese market and contributing to the growth of the anime fan community here."
Wedge Holdings and SBNV believe that expanding the licensed anime market will help drive the creative industry's growth in Vietnam and open doors to more diverse cultural initiatives.
