Themed “Green and Resilient Logistics”, this year’s congress is expected to bring together over 1,200 delegates from more than 150 countries, including over 1,000 leading companies across logistics, transport, and trade.

The event, organised by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association in collaboration with the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), marks a significant milestone for Vietnam’s logistics industry as it continues to integrate deeper into the global supply chain.

Tran Thanh Hai, deputy director general of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Agency of Foreign Trade, emphasised the importance of the congress. “This is an opportunity for foreign businesses to come to Vietnam, but more importantly, it will allow Vietnamese logistics firms to promote their image, capabilities, and potential to the world,” he said.

“The congress will also open up vital networking opportunities. Vietnamese businesses will be able to connect directly with global leaders in logistics, engage in trade promotions, and explore collaboration with key players across the value chain,” Hai added.

According to Hai, the congress’s focus on sustainability reflects a strong national commitment. “Through this event, Vietnam wants to convey a clear message that green and sustainable development is not just a future direction, but also a core element to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises,” he noted.

FIATA president Turgut Erkeskin praised Hanoi’s role as an emerging logistics hub. “Hanoi is increasingly recognised as a key player in the global logistics landscape. With its strategic location and rapid infrastructure development, the city is well-positioned to host this important event,” he said.

“The theme reflects our shared urgency to address climate change, strengthen supply chains, and foster innovation. We are proud to bring the world’s logistics leaders to Hanoi to shape the future of sustainable trade,” Erkeskin added.

The FIATA World Congress will include high-level discussions, exhibitions, and side events focused on sustainability, digital transformation, infrastructure connectivity, and global partnerships. Delegates will gain access to cutting-edge trends, pioneering solutions, and collaborative opportunities across the global logistics ecosystem.

Founded in 1926, FIATA is a non-governmental organisation representing over 40,000 logistics and freight forwarding companies worldwide. With 113 national associations and more than 6,000 individual members across 150 territories, the annual FIATA Congress is widely regarded as the most prestigious gathering in the industry.
