Vietnam Business Summit (VBS) will be held for the first time within the framework of the APEC 2017, with the aim to boost business exchange, networking, and trade promotion for all 63 cities and provinces across the country during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.
VCCI chairman Vu Tien Loc announced the event at a press conference

Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc told at the press conference organised on October 9 to talk about business events during the APEC Economic Leaders' Week scheduled from November 6-11 in the central city of Danang.

Under the theme “Vietnam: We Mean Business!” VBS will be held on November 7 at Ariyana Convention Centre (ACC). Being considered an important international event of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, the summit will open its doors to the representatives of prominent international organisations as well as academics and hundreds of business leaders from the Asia-Pacific and global businesses.

It is also an opportunity for foreign investors to find out about economic development policies, along with investment and cooperation opportunities in Vietnam in numerous fields, including smart agriculture, financial services for development, healthcare, education, tourism, and startups and innovation.

Furthermore, the event is also an occasion for domestic and foreign enterprises to meet, connect, and share information regarding trade and integration trends, as well as cooperation experience in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific.

“VBS is one of VCCI’s initiatives with the hope that activities of the business community will help raise the value added to Vietnam during the high-level week,” Loc stated.

Running parallel with the summit is the “Vietnam–We Mean Business” exhibition held to introduce provinces and their typical products and projects calling for investment as well as their diversified economic potential in agro-forestry-fishery, industry, and services.

This event also displays the outstanding achievements of the Vietnamese economy, introducing and promoting the country’s traditional export products.
