Since the end of 2021, Coteccons has actively renewed its modern business strategy, aiming for transparent values and standards to compete internationally. As a result, community-focused and sustainable development activities have been actively implemented. A prime example is the GREEN UP Marathon, an annual event aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and a sustainable and environmentally friendly way of life.
Nearly 3,000 runners were ready to compete at the VSIP III Industrial Park at dawn. Among them, more than 1,000 were Coteccons employees, all heading towards a common goal, running together in various race routes, including 5km, 10km, and 21km.
Everyone wore the same colour jersey, forgetting corporate hierarchies and the normal boss-employee order. On the racetrack, only fellow runners remained, supporting each other towards the finish line. Some set their sights on winning awards, while others considered reaching the finish line as a victory in itself.
"The second season of the Green UP Marathon has concluded, and we will return with a more exciting, unique, and challenging edition," shared a Coteccons representative.
Spreading the ESG Spirit
All of Coteccons' assets and resources, both tangible and intangible, are being upgraded to reach new heights. A new chapter in Coteccons' history has been opened. The company's development prospects are aligned with the country's and the community's development.
The Coteccons – Le Phong Binh Duong Half Marathon 2023 conveys the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) spirit of all participating athletes.
Coteccons is committed to building sustainably and responsibly, not only prioritising ESG factors to minimise environmental impact but also ensuring the safety and health of each employee. By promoting ethical, honest, and responsible business activities, Coteccons strives to make a positive impact on the environment.

Through the annual Green UP Marathon, people will see that Coteccons is building valuable and useful heritage structures and caring about the environment which spreads a sustainable way of life to the community.
The marathon saw practical actions, such as maximising the use of recycled materials that are environmentally friendly in the design of running apparel, race kits, medals, and canvas bags. Plastic waste was recycled to create nearly 3,000 medals. Nearly 3,000 green shirts were made from functional polyester - woven from polyester and recycled plastic fibers. More than 3,000 scaffolds from construction sites were utilised as gateways and exhibition areas.
"Materials friendly to the environment and recycling waste in accordance with standards will always be our top priority, helping to conserve resources and enhance construction efficiency," said Coteccons' organising committee representative.
Coteccons, together with green partners such as Le Phong Group, Schneider Electric, Faslink, and others, played an essential role in spreading the corporate culture and conveying the ESG spirit to participating athletes, bringing them positive values and energy.
Looking back on this green race, each can runner achieved many successes, one of which was the community's recognition of Coteccons' dynamic and powerful spirit.
