Tien Minh moves to QFs at 2015 BWF
Nguyen Tien Minh advanced to the third round of the 2015 BWF World Championships at Jakarta, Indonesia on August 12 after securing an easy 65 minute 28-21 victory over challenger Parupalli Kashyap from India.
The world No 34 paid his debt after losing to his Indian rival at the Olympics in 2012 and the 2012 Li Ninh China Open. Parupalli Kashyap currently ranks 10th in the BWF rankings.
Minh next faces the winner of a match between Martin Guffre and Kento Momota in the quarter-final round.A victory would help Tien Minh secure his position in the top 35 of the BWF world rankings and a berth at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
