At a recent ceremony announcing the results of the Typical Enterprise for Employees 2018, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BRG and SeABank received the Typical Enterprise for Employees awards of Merit of the Vietnam General Con-federation of Labour.
Making its debut in 2014, the annual Typical Enterprise for Employees rating series seek to honour businesses for their endless efforts in improving the working environment, caring for the material and spiritual life of their workers, and building a healthy corporate cultural environment. It also aims to foster harmonious labour relations, besides being stable and progressive towards sustainable development goals in the process of integration and development.
The ratings are evaluated based on strict criteria set by experts on labour and trade unions. Honoured businesses are required to satisfy diverse criteria such as posting rising profit and revenue; rising employee income; not having unpaid wages or taxes; and ensuring trade union representation, among others. Extra points are awarded to enterprises which provide better welfare for their workers than is regulated by the law.
