PM to attend South Korea-ASEAN summit

The visit is being made at the invitation of the South Korean President, Park Geun-hye.

ASEAN and the South Korea upgraded their relationship to a strategic partnership in 2010.

The two sides target two-way trade of US$150 billion by 2015 and $200 billion by 2020.

South Korea is Viet Nam's second largest foreign-direct investor and trade partner. Two-way trade turnover hit $27.5 billion in 2013.

The country is also the second largest provider of development aid for Viet Nam. It committed a total of $1.2 billion in 2012-2015.
