Major retail pharmacy chain Pharmacity has been named the Drugstore of the Year Vietnam and Health & Beauty Retailer of the Year Vietnam at the Retail Asia Awards 2022.

The prestigious event gathers the region’s best retailers and recognises the most outstanding retail initiatives. Past winners include large international retail brands such as UNIQLO, Watson’s, Pan Pacific Retail Management, and Kmart.

The awards acknowledge the remarkable milestones achieved by Pharmacity. The judges welcomed the unique and innovative initiatives that Pharmacity introduced to serve customers and accelerate its business growth and recognised the company’s performance over the past two challenging years.

Pharmacity expanded its chain to over 1,100 stores nationwide, and its gross sales doubled with the support of loyal customers.

Pharmacity’s staff was on the frontlines of the pandemic to ensure that drugs and other healthcare products were available. During this time, Pharmacity maintained operations and led an expansion plan, determined to serve customers and protect people.

Pharmacity expanded its chain to over 1,100 stores nationwide, and its gross sales doubled with the support of loyal customers.

Pharmacity launched an online shopping door-to-door delivery service for prescription drugs and healthcare items across its website and the Pharmacity App to ensure that customers could access quality medicines and healthcare products while staying safe at home.

At the same time, in response to the rapidly changing marketplace, Pharmacity has been transforming into an omnichannel business. The company’s internal systems track over 10,000 data points across every facet of the business in almost real-time to ensure efficient store management.

Pharmacity has also invested significantly in forecasting and replenishment software, enabling the company to anticipate product demand and optimise inventory so that customers can access essential products when and where they need them.

Aside from constant development, Pharmacity also focuses on building customer service processes that emphasise convenience.

This includes convenient accessibility, which means customers have easy access to more Pharmacity stores with longer opening hours than any other pharmacy chain in Vietnam.
