NordCham Awards highlight core values of Nordic countries and business communities

The Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (NordCham) has recognised its members as the most equal, inclusive, and sustainable companies in Vietnam.

NordCham's event aims to celebrate all that has been achieved over the past year and act as a rallying call for even greater achievements in the future

The second-annual business awards by NordCham gathered over two hundred business leaders, investors, and diplomats from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Six awards were up for grabs, with the winners of each being:

1. Green Business of the Year was awarded to Carlsberg Vietnam

2. Best Sustainable Business Initiative (by an SME) was awarded to Electrolux Vietnam

3. Best HR Development Strategy was awarded to Hitachi Energy

4. Most Innovative Project was awarded to IMT Solutions

5. Work the Nordic Way (Diversity & Inclusion) was awarded to Home Credit Vietnam

6. Nordic Growth Award was awarded to SPRING Production

The winners of the first four awards will now go forward to the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) business awards, taking place on November 29.

In addition to the above awards, special recognition was given to individuals who had a significant impact and made a real difference in the development of Vietnamese-Nordic relations in particular and Vietnamese-European relations in general over the past year.

Nordic Leadership of the Year was given toPreben Elnef, vice president of Lego Groupand Nordic Friend of the Year was given to Alain Cany, chairman of EuroCham.

The event aims to celebrate all that has been achieved over the past year and act as a rallying call for even greater achievements in the future.

"Our unique selling point as Nordic companies – sustainable innovation – enables our members to meet gaps in the market and consumer demand in a range of sectors and industries from pharmaceuticals and logistics to electrical goods and ICT," said NordCham chairman Thue Quist Thomasen.
