Eric Woo Kit Seong, vice president, Asia Pacific Regional Office, ECRI presented a holistic view of medical equipment management in an advanced tertiary care system like FV Hospital.
"Many outstanding advances in modern medical technology are driving the market. Among those are robotic surgical systems, AI to support diagnosis and treatment, digital pathology, medical 3D printing, along with AR and VR solutions," Seong said.

"Facility managers must plan alternative steps to counter such perils in advance and prepare the hospital better to cope with the challenges it may face should a disaster occur," Mitra said.
More than 150 guests attended the symposium, including hospital managers and representatives from various related government departments and healthcare industry organisations.
The symposium hoped to raise awareness about the importance of applying technology in healthcare, while also providing hospital managers with valuable knowledge and experience to optimise operations and improve the quality of medical services for patients.
This was the third time the Healthcare Facility Management Symposium was organised by FV Hospital and for the first time it included an array of international speakers from Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, and India, as well as Vietnam.
