grant thornton grows in greater mekong regionThe combination aims to tie up two market leaders under the Grant Thornton banner thereby providing a higher level of professional services including audit and assurance, business advisory, taxation, business risk and financial management training and coaching.

This new pairing means that companies in Vietnam, with offices in Cambodia or who are looking to expand into Cambodia, will have access to truly local experience plus an unparalleled regional and international reach.

Grant Thornton was established in Vietnam in 1993 and has been represented in Cambodia in 2004. Since 2011, under the leadership of the local resident director, Theo Laverty, it has built a solid reputation for audits with foreign invested entities typically in real estate, hospitality, entertainment and manufacturing.

Other areas of strong activity include outsourced finance and accounting services, advisory and tax engagements. This new development adds strength in the local business community, a number of government finance departments and the not-for-profit sector. The firm has helped several local companies successfully attract investment from overseas in the last year.

The continued growth and optimism of Grant Thornton reflects the current sentiment of those doing business in the Greater Mekong Region.
