Comprehensive Microsoft solutions help TAFICO improve the competitiveness

To become one of the leading companies at Vietnam and take off in the next five years, the company has upgraded information technology systems in order to serve clients from the core basic products to expand the services of the organisation.

TAFICO has developed an synchronised IT system with Microsoft platform solution, which includes Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, Office Communicator, Office, Exchange, Windows 8 combining with ERP systems to server 20 servers and 300 workstations.

This system could help to bring users flexibility of use, improving productivity and creativity for the staff whom use 300 PCs, and it could solve problems about leveraging existing infrastructure, reduce the cost of investment in equipment, training costs, the costs of network security and especially the costs of traditional telephony between departments.

The problem of extracting reports and standardized reports for the leadership of the TAFICO has been solved thoroughly by implementing SharePoint, Microsoft SQL combining ERP. The adhoc, decision as well as recurring reports are totally meeting the needs of TAFICO leaders on the format, timing and diversity.

After deploying this management solution and recently, the testing Windows 8 and Lync at IT
department, all the feedback are positive. Microsoft platform is fully compatible and works well with the current TAFICO infrastructure.

TAFICO staff and leaders don’t spent much time to get familiar with the new Microsoft products. The advanced functions are leveraged immediatelly by staff and leaders as of the traditional and familiar Windows UI. In particular the ability to stay updated of new Windows, with many useful applications, respond to touch as well as the traditional keyboard and mouse have been creating excitement and interesting to the users.

Microsoft Lync allows TAFICO to connect by new method, at any time, from anywhere and help maximize existing infrastructure such as telephone or Microsoft Exchange email systems.

Save 20 per cent traditional phone cost, reduce downtime when officers go to field or help TAFICO staff can connect from any personal devices, which is expected to increase 15 per cent labour productivity by general assessments from leaders when deploying Windows 8, Office 2013 and Microsoft Lync.
