A walk in the park for Colliers

DNN this month started hammering up a new industrial park in southern Long An province.

The industrial group,whose core business is the manufacturing of spare parts for auto and motorcycle assembly and high precision moulds,have appointed Colliers as the exclusive international marketing agentsfor its DNN-Tan Phu Industrial Park (IP).

Located near Ho Chi Minh City and positioned for river access to the Ben Luc, Long An, Hiep Phuoc ports and the Ho Chi Minhand trans-Asia Highways it covers 262 hectares and will be developed in two phases. The firstphase will comprise 105ha with land parcels ranging from 0.5 ha to 2ha.

The IP wishes to attract a variety of companies involved in design, manufacturing, distribution, electronics and hi-tech R&D.

Naim Khan-Turk, director of Colliers research, said: “This marks the continued growth of the industrial market in Vietnam and in particular the southern keyeconomic region and apportioning an area for the development of the biotech sector in Vietnam, shows a clear vision by DNN on how to promote Vietnam as a leading location in South East Asia for foreigninvestment.”

The IP will commence infrastructure work by the end of the year and will be operational during the third quarter of 2012.
