More than one thousand people enjoyed the sophisticated experiences on offer including sumptuous fine dining, guided tastings of fine and rare drinks and explorations into luxury craftsmanship and the “art of being a gentleman”.
In the refined setting of a beautiful colonial villa, guests were first invited to try a range of innovative cocktails created by visiting mixologists from around the World. Anthony Zhong’s (Singapore) signature hand-carved ice-balls were a hit – a perfect sphere of crystal clear ice to maximize the flavor of the premium drinks. Other mixologists flew in to feature their drinks throughout the week including Ben David-Sorum (Sweden), Greg Jacob (New Zealand), Richie Fawcett (England) and Colin Tait (Scotland).
The centerpiece of the outdoor bar area was a stunning Mercedes Maybach, the flagship of the luxury carmakers fleet. The ultra-luxurious and spacious interior belies a beast of an engine that generates an astonishing 523bhp from its V12, 6-litre powerplant.
Inside the elegant villa, M Residence guided visitors through a series of engaging zones, each focused on the theme of the “perfect gentleman”. Exploring further, guests were treated to a showcase of world-class photography by world-renowned photographer Mario Testino and others, shooting exclusively for the M Residence.
Of course, the pinnacle of the event was the ultra-luxurious tasting experience designed to complement the finest drinks on offer – each carefully paired. Those lucky enough to secure a spot for one of the VIP dining experiences reported that it took fine dining to a new level in the city.
The M Residence hopes to have raised the bar for luxury dining and entertainment and perhaps introduced a few more fine men into even greater gentlemen in the process. What’s next? We hear rumors that M Residence may soon be seen again in the nation’s capital.
