The show will introduce more than 4,000 of the latest machines and technologies from 2,700 brands from all over the world, with 10 international pavilions including Britain, Japan, Germany, Singapore, China and Taiwan.
The Thai company also held roadshows in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore to promote the exhibition, set for November 21-24, 2012 at BITEC in Bangkok.
Reed Tradex director Chainarong Limpkittisin said groups of visitors of three people or more to the show would be offered two free nights per person, Fast Track services at the Suvarnabhumi airport, free entry to international forums such as Machine Tools Summit or Metalex Nano Forum, and business matchmaking services and visit to the Toyota plant. He added the services would help enhance competitive abilities of manufacturers in the region.
“For Metalex 2012, we expect 66,000 visitors to join the show. We aim to achieve a 50 per cent increase in the number of visitors from Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, with 453 visitors, 330 and 175 from the three countries, respectively.
“The organisers have many incentives for foreign visitors including attending as a guest at the opening ceremony and attending international forums free of charge. You can also participate in the business matchmaking services which will boost the success of finding business partners, or attend exclusive plant visits to the Toyota factory, or see the assembly line of Yamaha Motorcycle from the beginning to finishing process, visit the Asia Precision Factory which specialises in manufacturing a wide range of precision metal components for different industries.”
In 2012 the Thai economy is estimated to grow for machinery and metal working industry. There is bright export potential for all ASEAN markets. It is expected that the market for machinery and metal working technology in Asia will grow by 20 per cent this year.
Metalex is the regional platform that provides opportunities for manufacturers, buyers and sellers from all over ASEAN to meet and discuss potential business.
