Vietnam Airlines cancels 22 flights due to typhoon

National carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has announced cancellations of 22 flights on Monday and Tuesday due to impacts of Typhoon Nari that is forecast to hit central Vietnam Tuesday morning.

In light of adverse weather conditions caused by the powerful storm, the flag carrier has cancelled 14 flights from and to Da Nang and Hue that have been scheduled to take off at 5:30 pm today, October 14.


Tomorrow, October 15,  the carrier will continue to cancel eights flights to and from Da Nang from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City that are scheduled to depart before 10 am.

A total of more than 2,000 passengers will be affected by such cancellations, VNA said, adding that it will try to arrange other flights for these passengers as soon as it can.
